Plaza Mayor – Probably one of the first things you will see when you are in the city as its home to the government palace, the Cathedral and the Municipal Palace. Great square to see many things.
Miraflores – from the most beautiful (and most gay-friendly) districts of the city with lots of interesting things to see and do. One of them is the famous Malecón – a boardwalk that offers spectacular views of the ocean. Here is also found the Huaca Pucllana, a clay pyramid with staggered platforms.

Barranco – home to the bohemian district of the city where you can find various shops for souvenirs and interact with local musicians and artists. Really lively neighborhood!
Peruvian cuisine – a must eat when you are in the city is the great variety of local food dishes that can be found all over the city. A must-try dish is local cevichea dish made with raw fish cooked in a lemon-based juice and served with corn and sweet potatoes.
