One of my favorite things to do in Budapest was to spend two hours at the pinball museum.
Of course, I loved walking around the city and along the Danube river taking pictures of all the beautiful architecture.
I wish London had a pinball museum (someone make it happen).
Like IKEA, there are no windows in the Flippermúzeum so it’s easy to lose track of time (like I did).
Also, it was -10°c in Budapest so I was very happy to defrost myself (read more about my DIY Christmas market tour of four countries).
With 140 pinball and arcade machines to play, there’s no need to queue.
It probably comes as no surprise that Flippermúzeum is one of the largest collections of pinball machines in Europe. It is fascinating to see how arcade machines have developed over the years. Flippermúzeum has machines dating back to 1880.
One of my favorite pinball machines I played was the soccer themed (I think Euro 96?). You had to take a penalty and catch the goalkeeper!
Flippermúzeum is one of the best things to do in Budapest when it rains. Entry costs only HUF 3500 for a day ticket as well. Discover the Opening hours of the Flippermúzeum.
