City of Mexico
Another great family vacation destination, Mexico City is rich in art, culture and history. Parque Mexico in the Condesa area offers space for children to roam free, and is well maintained with many fountains, ponds, waterfalls as well as many varieties of exotic trees.

Adults on the other hand, can relax and admire the murals that can be found in many public places around the city. Famous works include those of artists such as Diego Rivera, Jose Clemente Orozco and Hector Cruz Garcia.
For a full afternoon of fun with the kids, the Chapultepec zoo is the perfect place to be. Entrance to the zoo is free, and it is home to many species of animals native to Mexico.
The Zocalo is a huge open square and a great social meeting place, with many street vendors and artists to entertain the whole family. This is a fantastic place to observe local life and watch traditional street performances.
Tulum
For somewhere a little different that really sparks the imagination of a young mind, a visit to Tulum is a must. Tulúm is an ancient Mayan fortress city and is the only archaeological site that was built overlooking the ocean. Children can combine learning about these ruins with a dip in the sea – a perfect combination to ensure their minds are filled but their energy is spent! Other things to do include turtle watching and jungle tours.
Cuernavaca
Known as the City of Eternal Spring, the temperature of this small town remains at a pleasant 21C all year round. As it is only 85km from Mexico City, visitors to the capital can easily add a short stop in Cuernavaca to their itinerary.
Since Cuernavaca boasts diverse landscapes including mountains, volcanoes, meadows and rivers, outdoor adventures are incredibly popular activities in the area. Hiking, golf, kayaking, camping, biking and mountain biking are just some of the possibilities.
